A picture relating to Griffin Ranger #4. The handful of people who have read the beta draft will get the references.
I used a slightly different technique with this, scanning the pencils directly rather than inking first. Not completely successful, because my pencils tend to be kind of messy. I've been working on this pic for about a month, on and off, through five or six redraws until I got it looking reasonably close to what I wanted.

An 11 minute prog epic that's a sequel to their earlier prog epic Citizen Erased, from OoS. I'm not sure I see the connection, but I'll take their word for it. I only used the first part of the song here, since the other two parts don't relate directly to my book.
There is some other art in the production pipeline, but since those pictures are considerably more complicated than this one, I'll be able to get maybe one of them done before the new year.

If you enjoy stories about griffins fighting and killing things without having to haul around human riders, the books can be interesting. Yeah, Russell, the character pictured, looks a lot like a couple other characters. That's partly because (frankly) I'm not that great at drawing different types of people. Personality-wise he's very different from Jack or Jet. Jet is kind of stupid and very impulsive, while Jack is just flat-ass crazy and sadistic. Russell can be as ruthless as Jack, but is completely controlled and goal oriented.
coming back to this after finishing book 4th.. and heck NOW i recognice them all...

(still working in that review/coment of books 3&4, is going to be extense, i fear... now to re-read them again to add the few notes that scaped on first read! )
