An another school assignment at Corvin Art School, this time it’s character+his environment.
On the left, you can see Neville in his office at the local Woodland Police Station—feeling bored—, on the right he’s spying upon one of his co-workers and writing a report of it which he’ll probably hand to the “bad guys” he’s secretly working for.
Neville is an antihero, who’s a underdog detective, whose superiors don’t let him to participate in actual investigations —mostly due his smaller frame — thus all he can do is paperwork such as organizing his co-workers’ reports of the investigations and cases, which makes him being frustrated and eventually burned-out.
But on the other hand - he’s an excellent observer and has a great general knowledge on all kinds of criminal cases, which qualities — paired with his sneaky, fly-on-the-wall kind of nature — actually making him a rather threatening prospect — and he himself slowly but surely becomes aware of that. Neville’s not only a character who knows everything about his surrounding without them noticing any of that, but he’s also a true master of camouflage, so he can blend in every environment both literally and figuratively. All those attributes arguably more than make up where he lacks in physical strength and size.
One day after his high-handed investigation at the bad guys’ lair misfires, to save his own life he relucantly joines to them. But he slowly realizes than he feels much more appreciated by them than he ever felt at the Woodland Police Station. So now he’s doing his regular paperwork at night at there, while secretly obstruckting all the investigations regarding the bad guys.
