In the midst of the English countryside, two hungry foxes who simply want to feed themselves are continuously being thwarted by a greedy and avaricious heron. I owe a lot of the inspiration for this animated short to the classic Looney Tunes shorts and several Cosgrove Hall cartoons. Those cartoon models sheet scans sure do come in handy.
This is my ninth Flash animated cartoon and probably the one that I have spent the most time and effort on - nearly six months in the making! Also, at four and a half minutes long it is the longest cartoon I have ever made as well - and I never anticipated that it would ever get near that long!
I would also like to say a special thankyou to
seizethemoment , who went out of his way to compose the music for this cartoon.

This is simply superb. Indeed a lot of effort has been put into this cartoon Great job. :) Here's hoping to see more of those foxes in the future. :) I admit I liked the part where the Vixen went fishing and the Fox disguising himself was nicely done too. Also it's nice to see Terry been given a mention here. :)
I see, there is a few sound effect sites out there, I had found one a couple of yearsback. I'm glad Gerry helped you out too. Well it's up to you wearever or not to use these two again in a short flash animation or just draw them in standard pictures, either way I personally don't mind. Once again I really enjoyed this short, you have done a superb job.
hehe great works as always there Keeny.
seizthemoment also did a great job on the music composition for your flash.

:D wow, this was definatly worth the wait. ^^
Watching this it's clear you've made improvement since your early works, the animation is smoother, with more happening in each frame.
The music was also amazing, I could really feel that Cosgrove Hall vibe in the tracks.
seizethemoment did a great job :3
I have to say I really sympathised with the fox pair as well, I grew up with those cat and mouse rivalries and always did wish the hungry ones got a break.
I wont spoil it for anyone, but I definatly wasent expecting the ending shot, a bit more then what I thought you'd do, but all the better for it :D
Nice work keen! I think you should be proud :3

Wow, this is very impressive! It does feel just like a old-fashioned Looney Toones short. I'm shocked it was as long as it was and well-done the entire time. Did you do this for a class assignment or a professional portfolio? With this level of effort I can't imagine you wouldn't do more with it than share it online.
Also like other people have mentioned I like the twist at the end. Other comments have compared this to the Wile E. Coyote cartoons but here we actually get to see the foxes come out on top in the end (something the coyote never did) and it's very satisfying.
I'll definitely give a shout out to
seizethemoment for his excellent work with the music, but really overall everything about this is great. Thanks a lot for sharing this here at FA!

Dang--wish it had a FF button. Got interrupted and had to re-watch it to the point I got interrupted.
Aaaanyhow.... LOL! Damn pesky herons! Love it! Your timing is getting better, too, especially in the second half. Otherwise it does lag a bit and you tend to hang on scenes a little too long (play the animation without any audio to get a better idea of what I mean).
Heheh.... foxes running by....

Well, I didn't quite mean your animation was too long, just that often you sorta hang a moment for a little too long, like 2 seconds instead of 3/4 or something without anything visually happening. That's all. It's something I've noticed with all your animations, but like I said, you did seem to sorta be taking care of that in the second half of this animation. It moved a bit more quickly and didn't hang on things as long, so it's good.
Wow, I saw your animation yesterday on newgrounds and never knew of your FA before, and I just suddenly fall on it trough looking at random profiles trough favorites / page icon *impressed*. For the animation itself it's cute and I was happy when the bird got what it deserv'd, dem greedy.
Awesome cartoon!
I see that you have made a lot of progress, let me offer my own personal opinion of your cartoon:
It is a very well developed story, in the sense that the plot was so simple, inspired by the old cartoons we used to watch, yet you told did it in a way that kept me watching it continously, what i liked was the classic humor, and how well developed everything is, the animation is good, i see you have made more frame by frame in this, and also have taken advantage of other motion effects like when the vixen is running at high-speed; and i see that you took some study of other cartoons for this, like from the fox busters intro when the fox is chasing the heron, what i recommend you do Keeny, is that you should do your backgrounds in flash too, there´s no problem the way the are done, but it feels kind of weird seeing the characters and backgorunds so different, i don´t think im the only one who have noticed this, but they are really good, i think you should just use the onion-skin tool to redraw them and color them in flash.
Overall is really well made cartoon, and i really see how much progress you have made, so i hope i could offer you some help with my own opinion, anyway, keep up the good work!.

I Hi KeenyFox!
Seizethemoment was the one who directed me to your flash animation. Heehee! I have to say that was a pretty funny (and fun!) cartoon to watch! Those poor foxes being out-foxed by that heron! (Although I had to admit, I was delighted to see the heron, even if he was playing such a trouble-making role for the foxes!) The heron did get his comeuppance in the end, though. Poor heron! :P
Loved your flash animation! It was awesome and so cute. The cartoon harkened back to the good ol' days of the Looney Toons cartoons! Very cute!
