I was away from home with
Hamakei for a bit over a week. On the return trip we spent about 3 days in New York. Among many places, there was the Nintendo store which had a huge Bowser coming out of a wall, and for some dumb reason I didn't think of taking a photo of it. :/
So I guess this will have to do. I guess most tourists who have seen the original "Ghostbusters" end here.
Also got to experience a rejected landing when arriving at Manchester -- plane was just about to land when the pilots spooled up the engines and the plane began to climb, I think because of crosswinds. It circled for another approach and landed on the second try. First time I've been in a plane that does that.

Weather wasn't the best, with clouds below 3000 feet. And the plane's wings dipped a few times as it came for the second approach. Not sure what was wrong with the first, but I guess one should be grateful for skilled pilots who may have decided to err on the side of caution
It had plus and minuses. We weren't there for long, and we saw traffic jams the likes I would not like to deal with with any frequency. Plus it was cold and rained a bit one day. One whole day was spent on the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island because of how long it took to be able to get a ferry back to the mainland (too many people cutting in line to grab whatever few spots were available).
