In 1900, Auckland was run by dog people.
For a creature design competition thing. The anthro figure was originally a person, but I change it just for you FA And possibly because my human drawing skills are embarassingly terrible.

It has risen from the depths to feed upon those WHO DON'T HAVE BOAT TICKETS!!!!
I would say he'll remember to pay for his ticket next time.... but I don't think he'll HAVE a next time lol.
I like the creature's design. Looks like it could have both a skeleton and an exoskeleton over softer spots for additional protection!

Very interesting and fun creature design, it sure does look like it likes to be in/near water XD
The joints remind me a bit of the tyranids in warhammer, and it has very scary tooth filled jaws (which look grat too)
Do the algae like things serve as some sort of camuflage or are they just decorative?
PS: To the anthro with suit on the dock: RUN!!!!! and please don't look at it in the eyes XD

It's supposed to be for camoflage, the creature can attach bits and pieces of whatever it finds in its environment to the sockets all over its body. Wouldn't be the best considering the size of the creature, but it could perhaps serve as some camoflage if it kept still enough.
Thanks muchly :D

-"May I see your boarding pass please, sir?"
-"Oh gosh. I'm awfully sorry, my good man. I seem to have left it in my spare waistcoat"
I wonder if these critters pile on top of each other and through whoever is below them. They say they got into Auckland harbour by way of illegally dumped ballast water from Aurora space craft that do the tourist run in the southern oceans.
Cool image, btw.
