Don’t worry about not knowing much about Guild Wars 2. This is written with people who aren’t familiar with the setting in mind, and I think I’ve done a good job at avoiding exposition dumps. More the stringing along style. For those that are familiar with the setting, this takes place before Destiny’s Edge comes together.

This is one of the first things I ever wrote way back eight years ago. I only wrote these first two parts back then and I did some more a year or two later when another writing kick hit me. The past couple years it's been stuck in my head and I wanted to polish it all up and post it partially for the sake of being able to say I've done something narrative for more than just a chunk or two. I also wanna see if people are interested in this story or interested in anything with a more narrative focus from me because I've got a few more parts of this and quite a few ideas floating around.
