Either they didn't watch where they were going and/or wanted to, "accidentally", ride into a huge goo creature to feel how soft, squishy, and slimie they are. Well, they found out. It's not the huge good creature's fault that people keep going into him while taking a nap. Goo is that fascinating.
If you're sleeping in a spot that's not in the way of people, think of putting up a sign, Garry. Make it something like "If you end up inside me while I'm sleeping, please note that I can't control absorption unless I'm awake."
If you're in the way, maybe think of sleeping off to the side so you're not.
