Well, you didn't, did you?
Another cute little sketch of my rock-and-roll snowie, Jett, and me without another lame joke to rip off a song title with. It has been too long since I got a commission done of this young lady, but I'm still working on getting a story put together for her. Or so I keep telling myself. So far I know her name, and who her girlfriend is, but I'm confident she'll fill me in on the rest soon enough.
Incidentally, I've decided that her real name is Stephanie. I can't say why, but it just seems right for her. She's still mostly going to go by Jett, though.

It is. She did a fantastic job with this, and for only $5 it's an absolute steal. I do like the bell on her collar. That's a detail that has been there from the beginning but it's not one that has been emphasized as much in most of the pictures I've had done of her. I think I'm going to have to make to ask for it to be drawn more often. It's kind of nice that she's able to wear a collar and have it as a cute accessory, too, as opposed to Jess's, which isn't such a positive thing at all. *Grins* And yes, I imagine there is more than a hint of mischief there. She is a kitty, after all.
As for her nickname, well that was what she came with when I adopted her so I don't know what her creator had in mind when she was named. But it has always made me think of Joan Jett, which is why my Snowie became a wannabe rockstar in the first place. Privately I've always kind of thought that my Jett holds the singer as a sort of idol.

She kind of does look like a Stephanie, doesn't she? Maybe that's why the name fits her so well. As for the rest, well she can certainly be a bit wild on stage, and off the stage in the right company. But she's still just a wannabe rock star, so she has to make her actual living as a waitress and she knows how to restrain herself when she needs to. I'm sure she'll show her wild side soon enough, though!

You must be quite the commissioner to others....meanwhile all I can do is ask for free stuff and try my best to draw my characters....and in turn I try to see if anyone likes it and only one or two may comment, and that's it. But you, you're lucky, you have awesome characters that people like. Hopefully one day soon I can finish my characters' stories...then maybe people may see how they truly are.....
And sorry for the long comment about my troubles...I just wanted to tell ya that you're really lucky =3

I've been very lucky, I agree. When I first started posting my stories on-line I never expected them to be anything like as popular as they have been, or that anyone would actually want to draw them just out of the blue. One of my dearest friends has spoiled me absolutely rotten that way. But that just means you never know. Someone might decide they like your stories when you get them finished, too.
For that matter, there are plenty of artists who are willing to do some very cheap commissions and plenty who will work from just a written description if you don't have a drawn reference. Every one of the artists I've commissioned have been really professional in the way they've handled their commission work, too, and really quite friendly.
No need to apologize for anything. I know it's frustrating for you and I can certainly sympathize. Best of luck with your stories, and getting some commissions done, and thanks again for all your compliments.
