Frosty is right. When we pulled into Eilot and went to Jerusalem, the sirens were briefed on the ship, but the locals treated them as a joke. Israeli "settlers" are going into UN mandated Palestinian territory and essentially setting up forts to slowly and illegally annex land. Once they have a "settlement" established, they petition the government to send troops to clear and local residents and/or resistance around the "settlement" and that with the surrounding area is essentially ILLEGALLY annexed by Israel.

One of the scariest briefs I've been apart of (that wasn't classified) was the "Sampson Plan" of Israel. They are essentially blackmailing the rest of the world to come to their aid and defend them because they will launch all remaining weapons at every major city and capital of every nation they can (both allied and foe) to make sure that they take as many out with them if they feel they are under imminent threat of defeat. That is horrendous, no matter your political afflation. There should be no 1:1 (or more) when it comes to lives. All leaders should be focused on lessening misery, not proliferating it.

I hate that the discourse has so easily turned into anti-war/genocide is suddenly antisemitic. No hate on the Jewish nor Muslim religions, nor their people, nor the average citizens of each nation. Their leaders are guilty of egregious war crimes, and no "what-about-ism" should be used to justify it!

It just baffles me at this point how Israel supporters can't make an easy distinction between supporting Palestine and supporting Hamas (probably because they truly think all Palestinian children in Gaza are terrorists deserving of nothing less than imprisonment or death). This isn't ignorance at all, it's just cognitive dissonance intented specifically to protect their high self-esteem from their blatant advocation for war crimes and genocide. Surprisingly, those are the same people who call the IOF to "flatten Gaza" and to kill "as many as possible". Also, they don't care about Israeli civilians too, as long as their deaths become a pretext for Palestinian ethnic cleansing.
