I'm taking cue of this being Mother's Day to do a set of pics of Team Crossroads I've been wanting to do for a while: Their family.
One would think Floritt would be have the saddest family tale of them all, being an orphan and all. And yet here we see that a family doesn't always need blood ties to be strong.
(finally, a pic including Hakim, the one responsible for the footprint on Floritt's back! For the record there IS a father figure - a Hitmontop, Hakim's biological dad -- and even couple other Hitmon-siblings missing (well, Tyrogues), but I figure just the three were enough.)

With Sikes, I can't be sure...his dads adopted him as a Psyduckling and that's all she wrote. Ishtar has some history, though...she's a runt-Jynx, and her mother had to give her up as she'd've never survived life on the tundra. Maybe she and her tiny Nido mom and dad will go looking for her biological roots someday. ;>

To think all those pictures 'bout families made me remember 'bout my long-gone chaps... My Blue got stolen with my first team, my Silver was a pirate copy and fried itself after a year, my Crystal is pretty much collecting dust, my Ruby got crushed on a car crash. And damn those guys made me fell pretty awesome, every one at their own style.
Still I haven't made a single memorial for them all. But I dunno if I should, it's all but games. I'm in doubt now.

Funny thing is, the only way these ideas are inspired by the games is by their species (and couple little details like alt evolutions and such). Beyond that, I treat them as I would an original character. Heck, some of these have never even had game versions (the one Gardevoir I do have was named Belldandy).
This is the reason that Eli is slightly Jealous of Floritt. He knows his biological family, and hates all but one of them with a passion (Well, actually, he only hates his mother and father, he just has general contempt for his siblings who follow them), Whereas Floritt has a loving and supportive family. He's happy he can be a part of it in a small way, though.
