"Oh, my dear boys...it's so good to have you two together like this again. It's almost like how it used to be when you were little..."
I'm taking cue of this being Mother's Day to do a set of pics of Team Crossroads I've been wanting to do for a while: Their family.
Nigel and Joshua were born identical twins, but despite this fact they're as different as can be. Yet it wasn't until the day of their rite of passage, the day Nigel refused to become a Gallade like his brother, that those very differences would give fruit to a bitter rivalry between the two.
A rivalry dear Destine hopes will one day pass, hopefully before her end of days. Her sight may be gone and her body weak, but so long as she holds on to her love for her children, she doesn't need anything else.
(a blind, elderly Gardevoir? Yes. Yes she is.)

Short answer: Gallade is a male-only alt evolution for Kirlia. As you need a stone (and something else, I think) to evolve, you can still have a male Gardevoir by letting it evolve as normal.
Gallade, BTW, is Psychic/Fighting, the latter type being the prime reason Nigel said no - he HATES physical combat with a passion, and anything that embraces that form of fighting is something he refuses to be acquainted with...even if it means refusing his own brother in the process.
Man, why's my team so angsty?

Actually I'd Wiki'd it before you answered. ;D
Angst abounds! Rather makes me happy that your adopted char, Floritt, had it nice. Hell, it's just cool to see adopted chars anyway. My Ishtar and Sikes can attest...and Tyrone too, if he counts (he was adopted by his aunt)...

Amusingly, second place for the least angstiest member of Team Crossroads is Meg. Sure, they have no mother, but they live with an uncle and Meg herself has grown used to living the dream to be the one in charge of the family Gym.
Maggie still wishes big sis would stop being so "mom-ish" at points, though :|

*checks her own bio* Whoops, meant to say grandfather. Probably still a Magmar himself (despite there being a new evolved form for Magmar now. He's superstitious of non-'natural' evolutions (by this I mean level-ups rather than, say, stones or hold items). And he's quite the grouch at points but for the most part, yeah, he's cool.
