In a bit of a daze and slightly nauseous from sleeping on the concrete, Cole goes down into the park; he had originally planned on wandering into the streets a little half-heartedly looking for adventure but chickens out, electing instead to stay in the block, and throw a few pebbles into the pond.

The loneliness of the place is at some point disrupted by a figure sit on a bench in the distance, at least Cole thinks the person has arrived at some point as he hasn't noticed them when he arrived. And then proceeded not to move at all. He discreetly looked a few times behind him at the figure, immobile, sleeping maybe, considered walking away, but decided in the way that it was whatever.
