There are two things I love about this... First I love the left reference staring forward! I don't think I've ever seen a bird character look that good from that angle. Birds always seem to look SUPER WEIRD when they face straight ahead, so I always just draw them in profile.
Second I love how you did the wing! With the large keelbone and muscle structure in the chest and having the wings just under the shoulder... I have to agree! This seems like one of the few characters whose wings aren't merely duct taped on.
Third I love the raven type beak! Wait, no, I said I only loved two- *falls into a bottomless pit*
