Once the most feared bad boy in his hometown, the intimidating Bancholeomon is actually a big softy even before he grew to his current size. He was once a normal size Bancholeomon who made a name as an underground fighter and made a killing. However when an earthquake struck the area, one of the support-beams crumbled and part of the ceiling was going to fall on a spectator, but Hamza pushed them out of the way, only to get caught in the debris. While it was a miracle he survived, he ended up too injured to fight for a long time. In addition, while in the hospital, due to being inactive, he began to pile of so much weight, by the time he was discharged he was so fat you wouldn't believe he once was a beefy muscled Digimon. With no chance to get back into fighting, fortune smiled on the newly fat Bancholeomon as the spectator he saved was a multi-millionaire. Being one to pay off their debts, they offered the injured Hamza a place to live and a steady income as thanks. In fact, listening to the worldly Hamza and his stories, suggested the Digimon write his stories and publish them. He soon became a renowned writer and was set for life. In that time, he found a love in eating too and quickly grew to be so big he gets interviews about his life as a huge guy. In fact, it was a chance meeting with a traveling Leonidas that Hamza made friends with a fellow Leomon (and perhaps influenced the Leomon to join in the big Digimon club LOL)
