Flat, muddy, vast, clouded, dreary.

I didn't think to take a picture of my feet at the time however. I was lucky I was wearing taller hiking boots as the mud was sucking me to ankle deep or so. It really didn't feel like I could work it up much more and get deeper, and I didn't want to push my luck as is. It was only in the mid to upper 20's outside 20f (-6c) sooo, it was chilly. I'm not gonna play in the mud beside a jaunt through what I would call trail mud. It was a messy walk.
