My submission for the “Gears, Cogs and Steam, Oh My” Contest

It was specified as a "sketch" book and in black and white so that's why it's not fully cleaned (which I'll probably do eventually because I'm happy with it so far). Though I'm also happy with it in sketch form too.
As some people know... I'm not actually a furry in real life but am an artist. So this is my "furona" for the sake of the site (wolf-spidermonkey). I'm also not into guns in real life... I just love action fantasy movies and stories so this is my alter ego I suppose. And she normally doesn't have automail but because steampunk tends to have a bit of a dark and gritty setting she needed something to be able to fight (she's more of a fights for justice type... so she's good). I had an accident (in 2003) in real life that left my left arm weaker than the other. It's not like in a brace or anything and it's good for the most part but it just hurts a lot if I over use it or do something stupid (which seeing as I'm overly independent I try to do things I can't necessarily do all the time).

Hot damn do I love this outfit
and Pfft I don't classify myself as a furry, but I think it's fun to draw anthros and give myself a giraffe persona.... I just won't run around dressed as her ;D
And I can relate to the injury. I had spinal surgery back in '09 and haven't had the same strength since then, and I just sexify miss Mae to make me feel more confident over my new body issues, since there's a scar running down my back I'm self conscious over P=

Whoa... okay good I don't feel a lone now. Yeah I think making the character have some of the flaws the person has sort of makes the person feel better. Like it the character seems empowered somehow you start feeling a little less self conscious. Thanks for the note. It made me feel good!
