So Tama had a meeting with a divine being of law/order. As a chaotically aligned being, this was a a very intense meeting for her even though the being wished no harm. It casted tongues on her to allow her to understand and speak with it, and turns out when a chaotic fairy sees something they're not supposed to, something might change in them.

This is Tangle, Tama doesn't know what they are or where they came from but they're her new pet familiar.
Fractals are creatures founded on very simple and static rules of math. But when a pattern repeats itself enough, suddenly those very consistently static rules start creating unpredictable shapes. When one of them manifests as a living being, they become a fractal, a creature the strixhaven school is very interested in studying. Tama is likely not a good fit for higher academia, but she's happy to walk off with one of their mascots. They will be chewing recursive holes in the rest of the party's shows
