This book completes the trilogy about Chakona, its inhabitants, the interaction of the chakats with some humans, skunktaurs and other races, such as the renzar and the rakshanis. All framed within the universe created by  Goldfur It's been almost two years of continuous work and it's fair to mention such important people  sethtriggs  Marksan  Wolfbane115 and all the people from Tales de Chakona Discord for fans.

CHAPTER 61


At the Chakona Gateway, Ugkar continued walking, heading towards the station's high command, to make hys request. But not long after, the director of operations Chakat Brey, together with two other Chakat officers, were advancing towards hym down the same corridor. Seeing Ugkar more recovered, Brey brightened and came over to say hello. So did the other two Chakat officers, impeccably dressed.
“I'm glad you feel better, Ugkar. I imagine you must be impatient to get back to Vika,” Brey said with a smile.
"I am Shir, but first, I would like to speak with you, in private." The skunktaur replied.
"Okay, follow me" Brey said, saying goodbye to the other two chakats. Once alone, the director declared:
“Ugkar, I have mixed feelings about you. For one thing, I should be admonishing you for acting on your own, unannounced, and bringing a civilian into the station without authorization. But on the other, I would have to commend you for discovering Faise's accomplice Agent Renzar right under our noses, and capturing that bastard and hys partner."
"Shir, I..." Ugkar was about to say when Brey suddenly interrupted hym.
“Before you say anything, answer me this. What do you think I should do? Admonish or reward you? And please don't you dare look for the answer in my mind."
Ugkar, after a moment and a deep sigh, answered:
“All my life I have been a rebel, Shir Brey. The Federation knew this perfectly well when they recruited me. And I'm sure the high command would also be very happy to have someone like Faise in their ranks. I personally don't care about the awards or the reprimands for what Regthar and Doren and I did this time. Because I feel that, despite everything, I did the right thing. I couldn't stop those two civilians from getting involved. But, no one forced them to participate. And with all due respect, I warned you from the beginning, that I was the only one capable of countering Faise's power, since we were both spawned in the same experiment."
Brey, after a few moments of silence, declared.
“Ugkar, your rebellion fortunately played to your advantage, and to ours. It was not difficult to save you from a court martial, because everything finally worked out for the best. There were no other lost in the operation and the high command was impressed by your skills, once again. Even… A promotion is rumored for you. But there is nothing official yet."
"Uh? Promotion?... Shir Brey, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't give it to me. I don't have the patience to have people under my command."
"Ugkar... Despite your past, and your temper, I see a good person in you" Brey said, taking hys shoulder. Ugkar, smiling to hymself, added.
“My friend Esteban told me that once, when he went to visit me in jail… And he forgave me for what I had done to him.”
“Hmmm… And I imagine ex-agent Krim thinks the same. Maybe it's time you convinced yourself too." Brey replied.
Ugkar was silent for a moment. Hy didn't know what to answer. Hy thought that maybe Brey was right and that the only one who saw negative things in hym was hymself. Then the chakat continued.
“I'm curious, Ugkar. In the report, you say that you and Faise were evenly matched in psionic power, in the middle of a fight. Tell me, is Faise really powerful?"
"Hy is. I never thought there was someone like me. What's more, in some moments, I thought that hy would defeat me. I was afraid, like never in my life. And I must admit, beating hym was not easy. Luck was on my side."
"I see. Ugkar, the high command also referred to your skunktaur talents, and suggested the idea of ​​giving you proper training to further enhance them." After these words, the skunktaur bristled all the hairs on hys body.
“Shir Brey. I'm not interested in the Federation turning me into a weapon like Faise."
“You are already a weapon, Ugkar, even if you don't want it. But calm down. I perfectly understand your position and I replied that, for no reason, I would allow that to happen if you did not agree. So, it was only an invitation, and not an imposition. Unlike the League of Non-Aligned Worlds, the Federation respects the decisions of its citizens."
"Thank you Shir Brey" Ugkar said relieved.
"Okay, and now tell me, what did you want to talk to me about, lieutenant?" The chakat inquired. The skunktaur stopped in front of shi and said.
“I am worried about Lilethe Skunktaur. After Faise's attacks, hy suffered neurological damage that doctors have not been able to cure yet."
"Hmmm, maybe more time is needed for the treatments to work Ugkar." Brey said.
"It's possible. But you will understand that I will not be able to return to Vika in peace if I do not see signs of recovery in hym. Lilethe was my denmate. I still feel a lot of love for hym. And I was thinking that maybe I could do something for hym, with my talents. I need your permission, to go down to Chakona again."
“Okay Ugkar, you have my permission. Calmly settle all your bussines in Chakona before returning to Vika."
"Thank you Shir Brey."
“I hope your skunktaur friend recovers soon. I should go now." The chakat said before withdrawing.
“Brey… When Aldorah and I have properly finished the town to receive settlers, I would be honored if you would visit us in Vika-B.”
“Heh… It's alright Ugkar. It will be good to see Lieutenant Krim again. Tail High!” The director said goodbye. Ugkar, with a smile, went back to hys room, to prepare hys teleportation to the surface.

"Are you going to the hospital today?" Sorah asked Esteban, who was sitting in the garden of the house.
"Yeah. Of course. Where is Regthar?
“I don't know, honey. He left a while ago, but he didn't tell me where he was going. Esteban, Doren called this morning and is coming here with hys parents."
"Oh, then I'll wait for hym" Said the boy. Sorah noticed that Esteban's mood was not the best. She sat next to him and said:
"Son. You have to be strong. You haven't wanted to see anyone these days. Not your coworkers, not the university. You haven't seen Rena or your chakat friends from the bar either. It is not good for you to isolate yourself in your sadness.”
"I know mom. I know I have to be strong. But I'm tired. I wish I had Daddy's strength, or Ugkar's. But I am only human. I have no genetic enhancements to overcome the sadness. I have not slept well. I have had nightmares about that hellish night, where Lilethe's will was controlled and hys body was violated in front of my eyes and I couldn't do anything”.
The female Renzar then hugged him warmly for a long time. Esteban plunged into Sorah's soft skin, seeking to escape her fears and pain. Suddenly, the boy, looking into her eyes, pleaded.
“Sorah… Could you hold me tighter? I need it." The Renzar, moved, bent down and wrapped Esteban's body with his thick arms.
“Oh, my little one… I love you so much… And it pains me to see you suffer. But have hope, as I have. Lilethe will wake up and hy will return to us." She said as she gave the boy gentle licks on the face. At that moment, at the garden gate, three skunktaur made their appearance. Esteban and Sorah saw Doren for the first time outside the hospital. Along with the brown-furred skunktaur, hys parents were also there. The Renzar approached them and welcomed them with a hug.
“Doren! What a joy it gives me to see you! Although I should hit you for doing what you did!! Grrr…”
"Don't worry Sorah. We already berated our Doren enough. We also think it was foolish to sneak into Regthar's PTV and face that monster.” I add Doren's father. Esteban, excited to see them, approached and hugged them all tenderly.
"Hello Esteban." Doren said sheepishly.
"Hello Doren" The boy answered taking hys hands. The skunktaur, after smiling, pounced on him giving him a long kiss on the mouth. Sorah and Doren's parents decided to leave them alone by entering the house. After the prolonged greeting, Doren declared:
“It's nice to see you again, my love. I beg you to forgive me for everything.”
“No, Doren, forgive me for worrying you. And I appreciate you helping dad and Ugkar fight Faise." Esteban answered.
“I did, because I felt I owed it to you, to Regthar, and also to Lilethe, after what happened in Berdoovia. And I can assure you, Ugkar felt the same way."
"Oh couple of crazy people! You two could have died." Esteban said and then hugged the skunktaur again. After a moment, in which they both stared at each other, Doren declared:
"Esteban. I'm so happy you're back. I missed you a lot. When you disappeared, I realized how important you are to me. Being your denmate made me very happy. And after spending all this time with my parents, I feel like my heart is calm."
"What do you mean, Doren?" inquired the human. The skunktaur, wagging hys tail, declared.
“I have reconciled with my past, with my parents, and with myself. They have forgiven me and have shown me their love, supporting me in my decisions. And I discovered that my capacity to love is also infinite. All my experiences, good and bad, have made me grow. Esteban, my feelings towards you and towards Lilethe have not changed. On the contrary, I see more clearly now how much I love you both."
“Doren”! Esteban said with moist eyes.
“I couldn't be mated with another skunktaur but Lilethe. And I couldn't love someone of another species that wasn't you either, Esteban. I hope… I hope you still keep in your heart a little corner for me.” Doren said blushing. Esteban, overflowing with emotion, could not hold back the tears. Doren, taking his head in hys hands, placed a tender kiss on his lips. The human, wiping his face, responded.
“Doren… If you weren't with me, I would be incomplete. You and Lilethe are already part of me. And I sincerely hope that I am what you need. I hope to make you happy, just as you make me happy."
"Esteban I love you!" Declared the skunktaur giving him a tight hug.
"And I to you" answered Esteban kissing hym on the lips. After a prolonged gathering of caresses and kisses, Doren declared decisively:
"Listen to me, Esteban. Now I will accompany you to the hospital. We'll go for Lilethe! We will get our clan back... Do you agree?! I won't let you down!
Esteban agreed with a smile in his heart. Doren's presence and support were the bath of energy that his spirit needed.

At the Chakona Gateway, Ugkar was ready to descend to the surface. Hy was happy to see the chakat who had been injured by Walma in that previous incident recovered in the teleportation room. Dressed elegantly in hys Star Federation lieutenant's uniform, hy prepared to enter the teleporter. However, hy stopped for a few moments remaining silent.
"Is something wrong, Lieutenant?" The chakat operator asked worriedly.
"Don't worry. Everything's fine. I need to do something before I leave,” Ugkar replied. Then hy settled into a chair inside the room and focused hys mind using all of hys telepathic talents.
“Aunt Rogar. Aunt Rogar. Can you hear me?" hy said with hys mind.
"I hear you, Ugkar" hy heard a voice back, which made hym smile. And before hy said anything else, Rogar's voice continued.
“I know what you want to do, dear nephew. And it seems like a good idea. For this reason, at this moment, I am already arriving at Amistad by plane. In a couple of hours I'll be at the hospital. And I don't come alone. My patner Neftor and also Bram, your father's friend and hys caretaker, are coming with me. And don't worry about your sister Rena. I already talked to hym and hy will also be in the hospital with hys family today.”
"Thank you, Rogar. You have amazing divination power.” Ugkar declared.
"But not amazing enough to guess what a stupid thing you would do facing that criminal alone. You could have died!"
“Uh?”
“But I guess no one can stop you when you set out to do something. You have the stubbornness of my brother Vroeg.”
Ugkar was taken aback by hys aunt Rogar's rebuke. However, hy understood that hy did it because hy loved hym. And that made hym smile.
“Thanks again Aunt Rogar. And sorry." Ugkar answered telepathically before opening hys eyes.
"Is Ok! Well, I'm ready. Send me to the General Hospital of Amistad, please”. Hy ordered the teleporter operator chakat.
