And yet... Maybe it was a bit reckless to assume that she was completely curse-free now. Or maybe it's not even a curse that causes it anymore? Maybe her dragon form in this plane innately feeds off that belief? She can't seem to prevent it, and it always had a bad habit of developing a self-sustaining feedback loop.
