Exactly a year ago I did a story with two Pokemon characters I like, Steven Stone and Phoebe.
I admit that after that story, I started doing more ideas with the two, with stories that went from the short-haired gal being turned into different things to just the two being a cute couple. As today was an important date, I did a tale that not only is part of the latter but also introduces a character I hope to do more with soon: Sandy Stone. She is their daughter, so take this as a teaser of things to come.

Phoebe and Steven couldn’t be happier.
Ever since they ended up together, the short-haired gal and the pale guy had nothing but a good life, enjoying moments together, traveling around the regions and giving each other gifts as a way to show their appreciation for the other. For some, the thing they had was already perfect and they couldn’t think about something that might be better than that, but in the end, there was one special thing that turned that good life they had into a better one: they had a daughter.
They named her Sandy and even before she was born, Phoebe and Steven were prepared to receive her. The steel-type trainer bought a bigger house in Mossdeep and took care of finding all the things his daughter might need. On the other hand, the cheerful gal prepared herself on how to raise her daughter, wanting her to be someone like Steven and her, nice, smart, caring and strong. To pass time, the couple had a competition between themselves, jokingly asking if Sandy was going to be a steel or a ghost-type trainer and what type her first Pokémon would be.
The two also got some support and help from their respective families. From Steven's side, he was mainly visited by his father, who was also the first one to receive the news that he was going to have a granddaughter. Even though he had a busy schedule thanks to some important projects he was seeing on Devon Corporation, the company that he was the owner of, Mr. Stone always visited his son and his daughter-in-law, wanting to give them anything they needed. From Phoebe’s side, his paternal grandfather, the same one whom she trained in Mt. Pyre came from time to time. In some of those visits, he also gave her some letters from her relatives in Alola, all of which wished her and Steven the best and hoped for them and their daughter to visit them soon.
Their friends also came to visit them, all of whom looked happy to see how things were going. Wallace and the other members of the Elite Four normally came together and always passed the day with Phoebe and Steven. Other visitors included the gym-leader Roxanne, an old friend of Steve, Brendan and May, two trainers that became close to him and Phoebe during the start of their adventure, and Lance and Cynthia, two other Pokémon Champions that became close to Steven during his stint as the Champion of Hoenn.
All of them were present the day Sandy was born and while they were happy, it was Phoebe and Steven that were the happiest. They lived a lot of things in their life, but seeing someone who was connected to the two was more special than anything else. Even before she was born, the short-haired gal and pale guy decided to concentrate their lives to raise Sandy. It was almost 4 years since Steven lost his title of Champion and Phoebe stepped down from her role as a member of the Elite Four a year before her daughter was born. Both saw this as their new role in life, wanting nothing but the best for the small Sandy.
A few days later, the couple and their daughter went back to Mossdeep City, ready to start their new life together. Even though he remained with them during the first few days, the steel-type trainer prepared a few surprises for his two special ladies. The first one was being welcomed by Misdreavus and his shiny Beldum, the two Pokémon that always accompanied them on their trips together. They were happy to see the three and Sandy’s reaction was a positive one as she started to giggle the moment she saw the two Pokémon of her parents.
“Something tells me she likes them,” Steven said while smiling, glad to see that his daughter was liking her welcome. After Steven put their luggage in their room and Phoebe showed Sandy her new room, the couple and their daughter went back to the living room. As the short-haired gal sat on the couch with Sandy in arms, Steven went for the other surprise, one in which he needed the help of the two Pokémon.
While Phoebe waited, she started to think about the future. Before she and Steven became a couple, the ghost-type trainer didn’t think much about her future and instead let things go at their own pace, not wanting to change the order that she considered natural. As she wanted Sandy to have a good life and be a good mother to her, the short-haired gal decided to change a few things, continuing to let destiny do its thing with a few things while also planning some other things that would make her daughter happy. Her moment of thinking was interrupted by Steven, who came back with a tray that had two cups, two pieces of Phoebe’s favorite cake and a bracelet that had two precious stones.
“She is so cute,” Phoebe said while looking at Steven. Their daughter was still looking around, admiring the home she resided and the things that were there. As Steven put the tray on the table, the short-haired gal moved aside so her husband could sit next to her and their daughter. “I think she is going to be a fan of fossils and precious stones like you, I can feel it.”
“Really? I was feeling she was going to be someone who would have a certain connection with ghosts, just like a beautiful short-haired gal I know,” Steven said while showing Sandy her new bracelet. The stones it had were not chosen at random, the steel-type trainer took two precious stones from his collection, both of which were linked to ghost and steel-type Pokémon. That was his way of giving Sandy something that represented both of them and also showing her they were always going to be by her side. Phoebe blushed, considering it a good gesture and while she thought that was it, Steven had more.
As he called Beldum and Misdreavus, the two Pokémon came closer to them, carrying a gift box that was both blue and black. On a closer inspection, Phoebe noticed that the name of Sandy was written on it and before she could ask Steven what it was, the pale guy carried his daughter so she could see what was inside. “Come on, open it,” not wanting to put the others on edge, the short-haired gal opened the box and smiled upon seeing the content: a blanket with a pink floral pattern and a pointy star hat that looked similar to a Jirachi.
“So that’s why you asked me what kind of flowers I used?” She asked while looking at Steven and her daughter. This was always his thing, even if he asked anyone about what they wanted or tell them what the gift was going to be, he always found a way to surprise the others. As she finished admiring the gifts, the steel-type trainer grabbed the hat and put it on his daughter. “She looks so cute!”
“Cute and she also has pretty eyes, just like her mother,” Steven said while smiling, once again making Phoebe blush. For the rest of the evening, the couple enjoyed their time with their daughter, talking about how far they came together and also the things they would do for her. They decided a long time ago to dedicate most of their time to raising her and giving her a good life. Phoebe and Steven were still going to have their usual things like their trips or checking their respective projects, but Sandy was also going to be part of those too. As they talked about their future for the rest of the evening, once their daughter fell asleep, the couple took her into her new room.
Ever since the former champion and short-haired gal became a couple, they knew that their life was going to have a lot of good things. While things like their trips around the regions or the day of their wedding were nice things, having Sandy in their life was the best thing that could happen to them. Both of them didn’t have much experience about how to raise a child, but that wasn’t an issue. They had each other and were going to give her a good life.
They were going to be fine.
