A generous gift that seemingly came out of nowhere from a stranger, but one that is wholly appreciated nonetheless!
For context: lordvimless, the then-stranger in question, wanted to hit up an artist about a picture centered around Chinese New Year featuring characters who shared a species with the zodiac animals associated with last year (2022, Tiger), this year (2023, Rabbit), and next year (2024, Dragon). Vimless already had an artist in the form of axel, a tiger character in the form of their Budugen, and would reach out to their Twitter mutual TheZackRabbit about the rabbit part. However, Vimless didn't seem to know anyone with a dragon character, so Zack - having far more followers - thought to put out a notice asking anyone with a dragon character to speak up, I posted a response and Vimless seemed to like me enough to reach out about this project.

I was a little wary at first, since I didn't know who this person was prior to being contacted and I'm not used to receiving giftart... but Vimless stated they would cover the full costs of the picture and the project seemed innocuous enough, so I agreed and the lovely final product can be seen above: All three characters enjoying a nice ramen dinner while taking in a fireworks show that's happening right outside the window! It was quite kind to include me in this, wasn't it? I'll have to find a way to return the favor at some point... and hopefully, the lot of you will like it as much as I did!
