Somewhere, deep within this dark and murky dungeon, rests a great treasure. How do I know? Because what dark and murky dungeon doesn't have a great treasure within it?
Of course, step one is finding my way into the place. With a heavy iron portcullis barring the entrance, someone certainly doesn't want me inside.
Or maybe they do, because they left a helpful note on how to open it:
"The key is found within your head
Use the key to paint me red
Be aware of what you spurn
For what you give shall be returned."
And so, gathering all my wits, cunning, and experience with riddles left by ancient wizards...
...I brute force my way in.
