It's just terrific to see every community turn out to help those stricken by misfortune. Down here in New Zealand we have also just had a big earthquake (no tsunami though) and it was a great feeling to be part of 2000 strong team of students helping to dig our city back out of the silt. (We are on a big flat silt plain with a high water table so the houses effectively sink and the drains float. Smelly.)
