Personalities: Inanael, Goddess of Death
Occasionally, I am massively inspired by someone's written fiction, enough to have the desire to draw a vignette or a character.
Of the writers in the fandom who I favor,
Arilin is by and far one of the best.
In addition to being singularly responsible for getting me involved in "macrophilia", she has entertained me, over the years with quite a string of characters, ranging from the sweetly innocent to the awe-inspiring.
In an earlier issue of MegaMorphics, she wrote a story that toyed with the trappings of classical mythology, and included as the main antagonist, the beautiful, sensual, awesome and terrible, Inanael, Goddess of Death.
Her descriptions of the horned rabbit-demon goddess were particularly vivid, so I decided to try and draw her. I cannot say how thrilled I am that she's deemed this rendition definitive!

"Malgin and the Queen of Death" was the story that appeared in MegaMorphics that inspired this image . "Should Lethe Be Passed" also appeared in MM, but while fun was not quite as grand or evocative as "Malgin and the Queen of Death", so it didn't provoke the same sort of reaction from me. Regardless, just about any story on those pages is well worth a read.
