For Farley, security is a major concern, both physical and digital. That’s why he got concerned when a mysterious app appeared on his phone, one he didn’t remember download. And then he started getting messages from the app, calling itself Malo. Curiosity got the better of him, and he responded to them, and they had a conversation. He learned that Malo was a she, and that she was a living entity that used the app to meet and talk to people as she was lonely. As time went on, they got to know each other more, and she sent pictures of places Farley frequently visited, with her in the background, showing her true form of a skulldog like creature. She even started appearing in front of him, although only through the camera of his phone, but eventually he was able to see her without it. Wanting to help her further, he offered to alter her code, and thus change how she functions. She gave her consent, and he changed the code of the app, making it so she could appear or be invisible to anyone she wanted without them needing to interact with her through the app, the only condition being that she didn’t harm anyone with this ability. She was very ecstatic, and wanted to stay with him until she payed him back. He initially tried to turn her down, saying she didn’t need to repay him, but eventually relented after seeing she wasn’t going to back down.
