My sweet, beautiful little baby boy :3
He's a very young (only about a year old) Mojave ball python. I wanted a second ball python for last Christmas (2010); specifically, I wanted to get one that I could easily tell apart from Serenity, preferably male, with an entirely different personality (because variety is the spice of life), and I wanted to give the snake a name that rhymed with hers or at least kinda sounded the same, but meant the opposite.
Thank God my little sister's friend’s dad breeds ball pythons and I know him. I had a very wide selection of babies to choose from, but Catastrophe was the only one within our price range that looked noticeably different than a normal (I sorta wanted the albino but it was $350).
I got Catastrophe for $175 (whereas you can get a normal-colored one at a Petco for the same price) and I soon found that he is nothing like Serenity. He's very active and hardly ever stays still like she does, so I ALMOST named him “Anxiety.” He also used to hiss sometimes before he got used to me, but I could tell he was bluffing. He also kinda phails at eating. Takes him about half an hour on average as compared to Serenity's 10 minutes, even though the food is RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS NOSE. Dummy.
Anyway here’s a short video of him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7JMIGMdamQ
And here’s Serenity: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5435233
