Some 3D tryings... and it's harder than it looks!. I always find cutting to add in detail creates ugly results. Arf. I guess practice is all that is needed; and I need to settle on the method that is best for me. I sorta cheated with the spines; they're separate objects for now.

That would be why modelers save many versions of the same file in different stages. If something does go wrong, and you can't seem to undo it, you'll have a previous file to go back to and try again. Another odd question, but would you happen to have any ref's of yourself? I'd like to try to give you a shot.
