The forest, once an endless sea of green, is painted in brilliant strokes of sunlight, a canvas of leaves spattered with color. Yellow, orange and red, a sunset slowly fading with each fallen leaf. The cool Autumn breeze scatters those drops of color, twirling and dancing as they descend to the forest floor. The wind brings with it a frigid chill, the first whispers of the coming Winter. Soon the canvas will be devoid of the vibrant color of Autumn, given over to a drab landscape of barren trees, echoes of what once was. And the first frost will transform that wasteland into a crystalline wonderland, cold and unforgiving but holding an enrapturing beauty. The Spring melt will breathe new life back into the wood, the sea of green returning, waiting to be painted in those shades of faded gold once again.
It is feeling properly like Autumn here now that the trees have changed and it is getting rather brisk in the mornings and evenings. Time to bundle up~
