The Red Grave Order is a centuries-old religious order dedicated to fighting creatures of darkness. Founded in the 1st century New Age, the Order trains individuals called Exorcist to hunt monsters using specialized holy weapons known as Caliburns. Exorcists are organized in a hierarchy, with ranks rising up to the highest position of Supreme Pontiff. For over a thousand years, the Order has stood as humanity's first line of defense against the forces of darkness. Through prayer and steel, the Exorcists carry out their sacred duty to protect the world of Aion from the evils that threaten it from the shadows.
Supreme Pontiff: The Supreme Pontiff is the highest-ranking member of the Red Grave Order and is responsible for overseeing the organization's mission and activities. They are the spiritual leader of the organization and have the final say on all matters related to the Order.
Cardinal: Cardinals are senior members of the Red Grave Order who assist the Supreme Pontiff in their duties. They are responsible for overseeing specific areas of the organization's activities, such as training, recruitment, or research. setting policy and strategy for the organization as a whole. They're moderately respected by other members of the order, and their decisions are more than desirable at times.
Archbishop: Archbishops are high-ranking members of the Red Grave Order who each lead a division and are responsible for overseeing specific regions or territories. They are responsible for setting policy and strategy for the organization's activities in their assigned area and report directly to the Cardinals. They are highly respected and revered by other members of the order, and their decisions would carry significant weight.
Bishop: Bishops are senior members of the Red Grave Order who oversee individual branches or chapters of the organization. They are responsible for the training and supervision of their members and report directly to the Archbishops.
Knight: Knights are highly decorated leaders who oversee individual cells or squads of Deacons and Exorcists. They plan missions, recruit new members, and are responsible for the training, welfare and performance of the personnel under their command. Knights report directly to Bishops.
Paladins: Paladins are the Warrant Officers of the Red Grave Order and are responsible for carrying out the organization's mission. They are trained in combat and spiritual practices and are responsible for identifying and combating creatures of darkness. They are responsible for training and mentoring younger members, or for leading important missions against particularly powerful creatures of darkness.
Journeyman: Journeyman Exorcists are experienced members of the Red Grave Order who have demonstrated a high level of skill and proficiency in their craft. They are trusted to undertake missions on their own or to lead teams of less experienced exorcists.
Apprentice: Once a Novice has demonstrated sufficient skill and knowledge, they are promoted to the rank of Apprentice. At this level, they would continue to train and learn under the guidance of more experienced exorcists.
Novice: This is the entry-level rank for new members of the Red Grave Order. Novice exorcists would undergo rigorous physical, spiritual, and mental training, learning the skills and techniques needed to fight creatures of darkness and to imprint their souls onto their Caliburns.
The Hunters: The primary force of the Order, tasked with tracking, hunting, and eliminating creatures of darkness.
