Something Halloween themed but I left it a little late uploading due to being too tired yesterday.
Here is a commission Croft had done for me a year back of The Rubbermancer demonstrating a more terrifying application of Latex Manipulation. It might look like that infamous scene from Akira (well, the start of that scene) but I was actually inspired by this card art which TV Tropes uses for its Lovecraftian Superpower page and I'd argue Rubbermancy can qualify.
I've been wanting to explore the more scarier and horrifying aspects of Latex for some time as it's very heavily used in the filming industry for horror movies. You can do all sorts of creative things with it like make some very convincing & gruesome fake injuries or realistic yet unsettling masks. The best example of Latex use in Horror for me personally is that it was one of the many things the Xenomorph costume was constructed out of.
With that said, you could do an awful lot with the power of Rubbermancy beyond all the obviously sexy and kinky. You'd be one hell of a costume designer for one and maybe almost as good as a Practical Effects artist too. You could easily apply all those uses to yourself as well and make yourself effectively a limited shape shifter. Now imagine you had that power and you're made completely out of latex yourself and you can now do some absolutely freaky stuff that is strait up Body Horror. Sprouting additional body parts, Morphing limbs into masses of tentacles or even just going full Eldritch abomination! It can be quite Lovecraftian if you think about it.
While not directly connected, this is a companion piece to another commission of mine of the same theme and also Rubber Summoner to an extent.
Happy (late) Halloween everyone!
