A late birthday present for my mother.
My passion for it started high, but declined horribly as I feel like I lost control of the coloring and original vision. I'm not satisfied at all with how it came out, but fuck it. I'm just glad to be done with it. I really don't want to look at it anymore.
There are probably a fuckton of mistakes and shit here, but I stopped really caring about this piece a long time ago.
Bluh.

this pic. And not just because it has a Wanderer in it. Yeah, there are probably a number of issues, but without artist vision to make them obscene to me it still looks really good. That and you did it for your Mom, which is pretty awesome in my book.
I swear, I will finish that fic... before summer vacation. :I Can't promise anything more than that.

I know I've been guilty of saying this before, but you, my friend, are being too overly critical of yourself. This piece, especially given that it was intended as a gift, looks brilliant. As others have mentioned, the soft, almost aquatic/forest colors blend together so well; and the ambiance/mood set by the rain is somber, yet moving. I must admit, it's kind of strange seeing a Wanderer with a human and *not* thinking of something more...intimate, but in this case I understand that the intention was far from erotic, and in that I feel it succeeds incredibly well. It's honestly beautiful.
