In the Golden Sirens universe, they have a tradition much like ours. One night a year, when the shadows seem to come alive and demand to be entertained, residents put on creative disguises, where the most creative are rewarded with tasty treats. The origins of this celebration seems to have been lost to all but a few, but as long as the tales of old are passed down, The Night of Shadows will continue to be celebrated by the people of the world.
This year the Sirens are once again doing a video game theme. In a somewhat connection with the release today of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the Sirens decided to dress up as characters from the expanded Super Mario Universe, and their characters seem to match them well.
Bonnie, dressed as Ashley from the WarioWare series, is unable to use magic. Knowing that Ashley oftentimes flubs up her spells (as evidenced in "Ashley's Theme") combined with her short stature and black hair, this seemed very appropriate.
Natalie and Talen are dressed as Princesses Peach and Daisy, respectively. Despite each having the other princess' hair color, these two fit their roles perfectly. Natalie, the sweet and loving girl, and Talen, the spunky and tomboyish one, yet occasionally showing a side of femininity. The rulers of The Mushroom Kingdom and Sarasaland are almost spitting images!
Verity is quite a tinkerer and builder for the Golden Sirens, so it only makes sense that she go as the genius tinkerer of the Mario universe, Professor E. Gadd. What invention will she come up with to aide the guild next?
Finally, the tough and burly hell cat, Brandy, plays an obvious role--the King of the Koopas himself, Bowser. However, while Bowser definitely puts on a gruff exterior in his quest for power, he does have a hidden sweet side for those they admire, and deep down, he just wants to be accepted. Brandy may be no-nonsense and holds tight to the rituals and traditions of her tribe, but she can definitely be a cuddly kitten for the right person!
So this Halloween, enjoy your sweets, your spooks, and your scares. But remember--the fun is considerably greater when you have great friends to enjoy them with!
