wait so he's been a werewolf this whole time? was he born that way? did he get bitten? I was under the impression that he was a different species entirely one that was unique to him and his family now his powers make less sense I've looked as far back where I can find artwork of him and I still can't piece this together it's like it started with the middle of a story and then when that story was finished it just kind of kept going and now I am so confused

Ok, I see there is some confusion. Default Gurume is indeed a wolf. This is an alternate universe Gurume who just so happens to be a werewolf.

I confess that I was expecting a different design for the werewolf Gurume, similar to the Lone Bullet to make him different from the original, but I still like this.

It's not entirely the same. For one thing, his ears are different and has extra toes, but other than that he is primarily the same^^
