"Look at my pumpkin!"
Proudly holding her carved pumpkin up, Whisper beamed as she looked over her handiwork. It was her first time actually carving a pumpkin: it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be! Just...messy. Nonetheless, she was quite pleased at her first attempt as she scooped up the pumpkin seeds and guts in a bowl to toss in a compost pile.
"Not bad, not bad at all!" Randal looked on as he finished up his own pumpkin: this was not his first time carving by any means, however, he wanted to take his time carving up the right design and going back over it to make sure the edges looked good.
Still, it tickled him watching the lyolf get excited over something as simple as carving a pumpkin. He watched as she ran around the room hanging up purple, orange, and black holiday lights, and putting up bat streamers- and she still had more decorations in the storage containers she had not pulled out yet.
Shaking his head, Randal finished carving his pumpkin and nodded to himself: perfect. After cleaning up the mess on the floor, he stood up, gathered both their pumpkins and put them on display on the front porch- but not before putting a flameless candle inside both so they would glow in the dark.
What's better than Halloween? Carving pumpkins and spending time with your best friend of course! :)
Randal called Whisper over to help decorate his place for Halloween- of course she happily agreed (even though she can't carve to save her life, she still had a dang good time).
Thanks so much to the wonderful hubbsdoods for the sketch! I wanted to do something nice with Randal because we haven't gotten any art together in AGES. Hope you like it friend :)
