...whew, THERE it is!
*optional
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup water, plus extra as needed
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon sriracha (Korean chili paste- optional to put in, but not in MY book)*
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 medium garlic cloves, minced and pressed (I'd say you really need only one- the chili paste already has garlic in it!)
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (didnt add- already had the chili paste)*
leftover chopped peanuts*
1.) In a small saucepan, whisk hoisin, peanut butter, water, tomato paste and chili garlic sauce and cook on simmer. Add garlic and chili flakes if desired.
2.) Blend, add more water as needed, until mixture has ketchup-like consistency. Transfer to bowl to cool, top with extra peanuts and cover.
Serve with spring rolls and enjoy!
