Despite being tired, Connie, Johann, and Schildra began to make their way to the front of the Mansion. However, when Connie began to follow Johann and Schildra, she looked over to the large opening at the wall, where she caught a glimpse of something that glowed yellow, along with an orange pumpkin. She could see that it was moving towards the back, and then could feel the floor rumble a bit. The feeling she felt wasn’t sitting right with her, and wanted to investigate.
Connie: Johann. Schildra.
Hearing their names, Johann and Schildra stopped to turn to Connie.
Johann: What is it, Connie?
Connie: You two better go on ahead. There’s something I need to take care of.
Schildra: Are you sure? We can go-
Connie: Trust me. This is something I have to handle on my own.
Connie looked at them, as is pleading for them to not follow her. But taking the hint, Johann and Schildra looked at one another, and nodded.
Johann: Alright. But you better come back.
Connie: I will. I promise.
With nothing more to say, Johann and Schildra left to the exit of the Ballroom, which left Connie all alone. Reaching into her cleavage, Connie took out a black and white potion, and began to drink it. As she began to consume the potion, Connie’s cuts and scrapes began to heal and disappear, as it began to restore her health and her energy. With her health and energy fully restored, she took her Keyblade and machete, and ran out through the hole in the wall. Through the wall, Connie had found herself outside, and began to make her way to the direction where she saw the figure, which was towards the back of the Mansion.
‘If I'm right about what just went across that I saw. That was a big Heartless. And it’s not one that’s meant to be taken lightly.’
Connie continued to run through the field towards the back of the Mansion. With no lights around, the only thing that Connie had to work on with being able to see was by the guidance of the moonlight.
Connie: It may not be much. But it’s better than being completely in the dark.
With Connie continuing to run to the backyard of the Mansion, she was greeted to a massive field of grass, with nobody in sight. Nobody except for a very large Monster walking aimlessly around. Connie looked at the Monster, and it confirmed her suspicions that it was a Heartless. The Heartless was as tall as the Mansion, which had five heads that were pumpkins at the front of its body. The Heartless stood on all four red legs, and had a small house that had lights illuminated inside it, as well as a large black tree protruding from its back. Surrounding the house on its back, was a large flock of bats flying around. It was the Hocus Pocus Heartless. A Heartless Connie had once fought before.
Connie: So, I am right. It is a Heartless. And that means only one thing.
Connie ran in front of the Hocus Pocus Heartless, taking a battle stance.
Connie: Time to take you down!
The battle began, as Connie made the first move. Connie raised her Keyblade up into the air, and used Lasting Hope on herself, which made a vibrant green glow surround her for a moment, causing her strength to increase a little bit, as a sickly green glow surrounded the Hocus Pocus Heartless briefly, causing its defense to decrease a little. As Connie used this ability, the Hocus Pocus Heartless began to slowly move forward, making Connie get out of the way from its footing, not wanting to get crushed.
Connie got out of the way of the Hocus Pocus Heartless, making it out of range from the Heartless’ footing. This was when Connie raised her Keyblade up into the air, and used Lasting Hope again, making a vibrant green glow surround herself once more, causing her strength to increase a little bit further, as a sickly green glow surrounded the Heartless again, causing their defense to decrease a little more. Despite the small Defense decreases, the Hocus Pocus Heartless was not deterred from fighting, as it called upon the bats that were surrounding and on top of it to attack Connie, with all of the bats charging towards her to attack her in a large swarm. As Connie saw the swarm of bats coming towards her, she knew she had one ability she possessed that could take them all out and then some. With the bats being close enough to her, Connie used Dark Laser, as numerous purple laser beams suddenly appeared out of nowhere and were each targeting one bat. The lasers went off one by one, as the lasers hit each of their targets directly, taking out all of the bats that were ready to attack Connie, leaving the Hocus Pocus in its own. But Connie wasn’t done yet, as she had both her Keyblade and her Machete, as they began to be covered in a dark purple veil. She then aimed both of her weapons up towards the Hocus Pocus’ head, and fired two large purple lasers at the Heartless, making it stumble back a couple of steps. However, it was not gonna go down easy.
The Hocus Pocus Heartless no longer had any Bat minions to help it, and was left with only one resort, get up close and personal to Connie, as it began to charge towards her. With the Heartless now charging towards her, Connie began to run, dodging every attempt the Hocus Pocus made to stomp on her with its two front feet whenever it got close enough to her. Knowing she was not going to outrun it, Connie stopped running, and charged towards the Heartless instead. When she was at close range, she used Dual Cyclone, which surrounded both her Keyblade and her Machete in a sky-blue veil. In that instant, Connie dealt a barrage of attacks and slashed towards the Hocus Pocus Heartless.
After 14 hits, Connie jumped away from the Heartless and fired 2 energy blasts at it while above the ground.
Despite taking two large blasts directly on two occasions, the Hocus Pocus Heartless was still standing, and still capable of fighting. The Hocus Pocus Heartless then began to charge directly towards Connie again, ready to stomp Connie when it got close enough. This made Connie have no choice but to use Dual Cyclone again. Connie’s Keyblade and machete were both surrounded in a sky-blue veil once more, as Connie charged at the Hocus Pocus Heartless again, dealing another barrage of attacks and slashed the Hocus Pocus Heartless once more. After 14 hits, Connie jumped away from the Heartless again, and fired 2 energy blasts directly to its head. The impact of the blasts this time around was strong enough to make the Hocus Pocus Heartless to lose its balance, causing it to fall on its side with a large thud. This caused the ground beneath Connie to shake, but she was able to keep her footing, and stayed standing. However, after using her Dual Cyclone ability for a second time, Connie felt exhausted, panting heavily as sweat began to go down her face.
Connie: Man. I forgot how tough this particular Heartless was. I was really struggling there. But at least it’s been taken care of.
Smiling to herself, Connie was relieved that the battle was over, and that all would be left would be to see the Heart that was inside the Heartless come out and float up into the sky. But that didn’t happen. What Connie then saw in front of her, was the Hocus Pocus Heartless, slowly getting right back up, looking at her. The battle was not over, and the Heartless was still ready for the battle to continue.
Connie: No! This is really bad!
It was at this moment; Connie knew that she was currently in a tight spot. She was exhausted, and didn’t have enough energy to use any of her abilities. But her situation quickly turned for the worse, when she realized that she didn’t have any more potions on her. She only had one in her possession when she fell in the Keyblade War, and no shops where she lived sold potions, let alone knew what they were.
Connie: Damn it! I knew this World wouldn’t have a potion shop. And the only one who was able to make them for us was Marissa. But…….
The Hocus Pocus Heartless approached closer and closer to Connie, closing the distance between them. Connie knew she had the option to run away, but she couldn’t let a Monster like this roam free. With nobody around, Connie knew she had to take out the Heartless here and now. Seeing that it was walking slower than before, and beginning to stumble on its footing, Connie knew the Hocus Pocus Heartless was on its last legs as well.
Connie: You want me big boy?! Bring it on!
