Black Licorice is a flavor that Coco adamantly avoids as when he consumes it, he becomes a literal monster, SPIDER MONSTER to be more precise.
The awful Black Licorice flavor has completely overwhelmed poor Coco, turning him into a mindless beast that attacks trick-or-treaters, stealing their candy and wrapping his victims in black licorice webbing, as he is subconsciously trying to use their candy to help negate the awful black licorice flavor consuming him but to no avail, and the few candies his body doesn’t reject, in this case, Candy Corn and Green Sour Apple (Poison Slime) Candy, appear to have only made his spider form stronger/more dangerous.
Will Coco be doomed to remain a monster or can a cure be found? Until then, if you see a trail of GREEN slime or see the glint of multiple RED candy eyes piercing the darkness, beware for Spider Coco is on the prowl.
(To those who like Black Licorice, I do want to say I absolutely nothing against it if you do, I just don’t personally like it myself and know a lot of people who don’t for the same reason, so I hope you don’t take this too seriously, it’s meant to be fun and in the spirit of Halloween)

Thank you very much. Coco is a bit like a Digimon in the sense that when exposed to different flavors, much like when a Digimon is exposed to a DigiEgg, he will take on a unique appearance/personality that befits that flavor.
Sweet flavors typically bring out happy, friendly, playful personalities, though too sweet can lead to hyper excitable and more toony personalities.
Salty flavors are usually tough personas, mild salty is actually pretty good, similar to a disciplined fighter like one of the TMNT or a Dragonball fighter, but too salty can lead to a hyper aggressive and punch happy personality.
Sour flavors have very drastic personalities, one minute they can be sweet, refreshing, with a zest for life, other times they can be cynical and overwhelmingly unpleasant.
Bitter is usually the worst flavors for Coco, as they typically bring out monstrous forms or evil personalities due to the sheer unpleasantness of the given flavor, the possible only exception to this rule is Dark Chocolate, who despite being bitter, is also pragmatic and helpful, showing that not all bitter flavors are bad, and to reflect that Dark Chocolate, while a bitter flavor, is overall good for you.
Coco might also be reminding you of Infermon from the 1st Digimon Movie as well.
