[Sketchbook] Ciji the (ex)Servant of Heimdall
"Ci..ji?...I guess..I'd be okay with being called that?"
Meet Ciji, a poor soul of many who simply just got caught up in a case of bad luck.
Ciji is part of a group known as the "Servants of Heimdall" who unwillingly became them after the Void god stole them from their lives for seemly no reason except boredom.
Heimdall takes these people from their lives, their existence disappearing from all record, only to be subjected to mental and physical torture beyond mortal comprehension. They are pushed to their very limit for the Void god's entertainment until they inevitably break and are no longer seen as interesting.
These broken people then are taken in as servants to Heimdall and the rest of the gods of the pantheon, less as punishment but more as a mercy from the other gods in order to give them purpose again. Heimdall having cursed them with the inability to die a mortal death but also unable to go back to their old lives.
Its common that Servants of Heimdall have no memory of their old lives, lacking names and anything that makes them individuals aside from their masks that are made to match their species. The mask often show no emotion with an intricate 'crack' through the material and a third eye to represent the Void god.
Ciji after the events of the main storyline of CLC was taken in by Malcolm who made it his mission to help him become his own person again. Malcolm even giving him his name 'Ciji' as a good place to start..
