Day 2 of the ARTober challenge I created for me and my friends, feat my lad Rift!
Rift is an original species from my story The CROSSED LINES Chronicles called a Sakime, more commonly referred to as a "Void creature"
Rift is one of two beings known as the "Messengers of Heimdall" who work under Heimdall, the god of the Void (who also happens to be the most powerful god in the whole pantheon of CLC).
The messengers act as a second set of eyes and ears for the Void god, and as a mouth piece when needed since Heimdall themselves lacks the ability to speak outside of sign language and mental images.
Rift is the only known Void creature to have gained sentience, and is believed to have gained it simply out of Heimdall's curiosity or boredom...this also means when a mortal sees Rift, in a similar fashion to a biblically accurate angel, the mind can't fully comprehend him and commonly causes a sense of psychosis..
