Characters are the main protagonists in my Native Fauna universe. It is set during pre-contact times in America, and features a Native American cast. There are some fantasy elements involved (e.g. these two actually are druid equivalents and can transform into animal forms, and the characters are all "furry.") However, the cultures that they represent are researched as accurately as possible. The whole thing's been run past a couple of Native American friends of mine to check for stereotypes sneaking in, as well.

No actual short stories yet, though one pilot story is planned. In the meantime, enjoy these two bond-sisters, the medicine woman and her bodyguard, strolling through the wild lands. Just enjoying each other's company. Some things never have changed when it comes to human nature, and these two, in the end, are just people of their time.
