OT 2023 23 - Ring
Buying Transformation Rings from second-hand stores might sound like a nice way to save money (when these cheapest rings usually go for 300-400$) but you never know in what state a ring like that is. Most common problems with suspiciously cheap rings are: being bricked which makes them unusable (some smart guy trying to mod a transformation ring which is not that easy), glitches causing switches between species and durations during usage, breaking in half (a few years back even a brand new ring could break easily but they are more resistant nowadays).
A ring being broken in half is usually not a problem as you will promptly turn back after the duration you set on the ring beforehand. However if the ring glitches out and sets to a permanent transformation, the only way to go back is to use the ring again. Which, in case of it snapping, is impossible. You can always use another ring, if you have one, that is.
