You are half asleep with that uncomfortable and familiar feeling; there is something in your room. You know it's silly. There is never anything. But your gut is urging you. Scanning the room for a moment, you think there is something on the floor, but you remind yourself that it's probably just your clothing you threw on the floor. Just looking lumpy and unfamiliar in the light. Your blinds barely blocking out the unending brightness and hum from the city.

Loom is a creature I made some years ago. It's an elongated predatory newt like creature with a bulbous 'head' that can emit light, mimicking faces and lights.
