Dangerous indeed. That petrification/disintegration victim looks especially eerie. Hope Kaj runs out of mana eventually, if that's even how the magic system works here.

Yeah, that is how it works. The problem is that Kaj was born with one of the deepest most powerful pools of magic to tap into that also just recharges quite quickly. He has to remain vigilant at all times to not cause it to flood like this which is why when he's sleeping he actually has smaller bursts which forces him to basically live in a vault to protect everyone around him. In a case like this essentially he's just radiating pure chaotic magical energy which is causing all of this. He's not even conscious at this point, but rather has kind of been hijacked by the mana itself and is kind of just floating around creating destruction to everyone around him. Eventually the flood will stop once enough magic has been expelled and he'll wake up entirely oblivious to what just occurred.
