awsome . . . i always wundered if a "real anthro horse neck was fully there and not like a humes . . . how low would it bend . . . . and this seems about as far as i would have pictured :D . . . and at first i was gonna say he doesnt have a tail but i noticed the line after lookin at the pic a while . . .great job n.n i love the gears style too, if it were manufacted, i could see that being worn compfortably
actually that armor is part of an original design I made way back. its heavy, but it does wear comfortably... Your ears tend to be sore from repeated reaching above your head too. The ends bonk em.
I don't have them anymore, but i'll be remaking them once my forge is complete.

I just realized that your drawings are pretty much the only anthro horses I've seen which show correct movements of the head and neck. Especially this one.
I mean correct given the way real horse necks work - the neck of an anthro horse would probably need to work the same way from what I see in anatomy tables, because of the ligament which runs along the top of the neck.
I tend to draw the neck too curled like in the third image here, but that's actually a painful/harmful movement for a horse:

I need to hug more RL horses to learn this kind of things. :P

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this... I was caught off guard by your comment.
I had not thought of this. Made me wonder back and shuffle through older work as well as the art I had collected from others over the years.
After reviewing I'm come to the conclusion that my work isn't that different from those I admire. Though I think I see what you mean, there is a lot of art out there that throws anatomy on the back burner and creates simply for effect.
I would also like to mention that in my reviewing I stumbled across a piece I've always wished you would finish someday... It's still one of my favorites. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1582250/
