This was from a road trip a long time ago when we were moving to Oregon (Moving back for me)
We stopped in Santa Fe where there was a bakery connected to the hotel we stayed in called The French Pastry Shop and Creperie, and they had a lot of very lovely looking food. It's apparently well loved, but I hate to admit the food we all ordered didn't really 'wow' us. It was fairly basic taste wise, not terrible, not meh, but just ordinary and a little disappointing. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff. I'm not saying don't go there and try something out, if you prefer simpler flavors it might be perfect for you, but we had been eating some pretty amazing food along the road trip and this didn't stand up to it.
This was the cake I ordered, they didn't label it so I'm not sure what they called it, but it was alright. Maybe not what I was hoping for, but it looks so gorgeous I still thought it deserved to be shared. Also I just love how the primary colors balance out in this image.
