I suppose this is my demonsona that I just made for myself. Either way, as a species, they're basically ink demons that have dropped out of or flunked the monestary for demon monks. They're usually generally bigger than the ink monks in terms of mass and typically don't take up a humanoid form the monks always take up, though some are trained enough to at least partially take up the form. This formlessness can be an advantage as they can slip through small spaces like crevices and grates and be unpredictable with how they attack. Still, they have an innate control of their bodies so precise that they can basically protrude inky threads that they can grab with ease.
They can consume their victims whole without using their mouths, basically covering them with themselves from both the outside and inside for later absorption. Most of the time when consuming people, they usually digest the bodies, leaving the immortal souls trapped in them until brought to Hell, and that's for sinners they know are irredeemable. However, they have an ability to absorb the body without digesting any of it, which traps the victims within the demon's body fully aware but unable to do anything but watch from within. The monks can technically do it, too, and even share the ability, but normally don't do it as it's deemed feral and against the teachings of the monestary. Some of these so-called ink demon outcasts can also taste their environment just by touching it the ink of their bodies, which is said to be a mutation developed by those that don't typically orally swallow up their sinful prey whole which lets them enjoy their feast without even licking them.
Still, with all their differences, these two types of ink demons actually tend to respect each other even within different social standing: It's quite a rarity for an ink demon outcast to have a negative opinion on the ink demon monks for any reason. It helps that every ink demon is obligated to learn the basic of the monestary virtues from birth before they can even choose the life of a monk, which actually isn't mandatory; some demons either just can't adapt to the life or is unable to hold up to the virtues of the monestary with struggling student having the option to drop out without much punishment to them or their social status. It's the bad apples expelled from the monestary that give these ink demons a bad name as outcasts, case in point, the one named Rangda who just despised humans and can't help but eat anyone that she can capture, including children. Luckily, not every outcast view her in a positive light and disown her from their personal cultures for it. Still, if you just so happened to be stalked by one of them, count your sins, because they might be on the hunt and may have found a worthy meal.
