Here's Tavi and Xavier, having a sparring at Bo's house, as his younger brother Jamie, their father Milanor, Samson and Bo himself, watching the little event.
The elder turtle on the right over there, it's Bo, the family's mentor, serving them for generations.
And yes, he's off his shell, using a bathrobe as clothing he use when being at home, in real life, a turtle's shell's part of their animal body, as removing it, they die, but in cartoons, their shell it's more like their clothing, so they still live without it.
Normally, I was originally gonna make Bo be a panda, because the name seem to fit perfectly, but because Tavi's homeland takes place in Ecuador, my home, I went for a gorilla, but in the end, I choose the turtle, since turtles are quite common to find in my city, as well as on the tropical island of Galapagos, where the legendary lonely George live there until it's very end of life, being one of those to live more than 100 years, so that's another reason I choose this animal for the character.
