Why isn't "Wendingo" listed under Fantasy species?

Many fear delving into the dreary forest, as there are whispering of nightmarish creatures beyond human comprehension.

Although, very few claim of a young, kind maiden inviting them into her abode, giving them shelter from the natural horrors, and assisting in their safe exit. It's all speculation, though.

There could be absolutely nothing and you just keep latching onto kids' tales. You're too old for this stuff, dude.

But behold, Akasha Hjortskov: the cervine maiden who resides in the death forest and daughter of a cult escapee. Her knowledge in spells and hexes were passed down by her mother, all used to protect and heal - unlike those practiced by disciples of the cult. She has the ability to transform into a monster that strikes fear into the most valiant knight, but only as a means to keep uninvited visitors at bay and heavens forbid, as a final resort. Its attack ability is untested.

She is accompanied by three wizards, who assist her in keeping her cottage tidy, clean, and lovely. They seek out the necessary ingredients for her experiments for her, with them even reaching the villages to acquire what their lovely associate needs.

Her goals include to master the ability to transform into what she so desires. Why? She desires to venture into the villages herself, but through a childhood incident, realizes her appearance is troubling. She appreciates and loves her wizards, but hopes to be accepted by the world beyond the forest.

Maybe even find "the one".

This of course, comes with its own challenges. Can someone like her even achieve such a dream?
