He didn't think the day would go like this. In fact, out of the few Years since Oliver had found himself in Daybreak Town upon the tens of thousands of others who were brought there, this day was the most tense and the most unexpected day he ever had. Especially after his run-in with his Union Leader Master Invi. But at the moment, the day was over, and the night sky was upon him. There was nothing left for him to do except get back home to all of his friends and comrades. However, just as he was making his way home, Oliver saw someone up ahead of him, and they were walking towards him. At first, Oliver didn't pay them any mind, seeing them as just someone who was just out for a walk out at night. But as he got closer to him, Oliver felt that something wasn't right. As the individual continued to walk towards Oliver, he could see that it was man. But what made Oliver feel uneasy was due to the massive grin that was plastered on the man's face, as their eyes were staring directly at him. This made Oliver start to slow down his pace, from running to slowing down to a walk. But as soon as the two of them were several feet from each other, the man stopped, causing Oliver to stop as well. Not wanting to take another step towards the creepy guy, Oliver looked directly at them angrily, and stared him down as well.


Oliver: What's up? Can I help you?


Despite asking the man a question, they didn't respond. All Oliver got from them was still seeing them breathing heavily, and continuing to stare at him.


Oliver: Okay then. Guess I'll just be on my way.


Beginning to walk forward, Oliver was ready to ignore them. He already had enough unexpected things happen to him for one day. But before he could go any further, the man raised his right arm out, summoning a Keyblade. When Oliver saw the Keyblade, he knew two things were about to happen. He didn't know what kind of abilities this guy had, and he wasn't going to let him leave so easily.


Oliver: Okay. So you this is how you want to do this? Alright then. I'll run the hands with you!


Seeing he had no choice, Oliver readied himself against the weird guy who just wants to fight for no reason.


'At least this will give me a chance to try out this new Keyblade Invi gave me earlier.'


Raising out his right arm, Oliver summoned out his Keyblade as well. But this Keyblade was brand new to him, and was surprised to see how it looked.


Oliver: Okay, punk! Since you wanna fight, I would like to at least know the name of my opponent!


???: It's Xinethor!


Oliver: Xinethor? Pfft. Weird name. But I've heard weirder. Now let's do this!


Making the first move, Oliver began to run towards Xinethor, as he used Cross Slash. Swinging his Keyblade to make the first strike, Xinethor quickly brought his Keyblade in front of him. Despite trying to strike Xinethor 3 times, he was able to successfully block all of Oliver's hits. With his ability failing to land a hit, Oliver quickly began to get some distance away from his opponent. However, Xinethor used this moment to make his first move. He quickly pointed his Keyblade out in front of himself, and used Dark Firaga. From the tip of his Keyblade, a large dark fireball magically appeared, as Xinethor fired it directly at Oliver. The Dark Firaga blast was too quick for Oliver to dodge as he was casting Nature's Favor, and took the hit completely. This resulted in a large explosion of purple fire to completely consume where Oliver was standing, and made Xinethor laugh loudly at his work.


Xinethor: He didn't even bother dodging it! He's done for!


As Xinethor continued to laugh, a figure quickly dashed from out of the purple flames. Seeing this happen in front of him, Xinethor stopped laughing, as it was quickly replaced with shock. He was taken by surprise to see Oliver had gotten out of that attack completely unscathed, not knowing that Oliver was completely invulnerable to fire of all kinds. But just as Oliver was running towards Xinethor, he readied his Keyblade. And as he did, his keyblade began to emit electricity all around it. When he was at a close enough distance, Oliver began to spin around, as he used Spark Dash. Spinning around, Oliver brought his keyblade out in front of him, ready to strike. But before Oliver's hits could connect, Xinethor moved his keyblade in front of his, ready to block. Making the first strike, both of their Keyblades clashed. However, just as Xinethor blocked the first hit, his Keyblade was overpowered by the attack, causing it to swing backwards. Xinethor's Defense was broken. And with his Keyblade no longer in front to block the attacks, Oliver hit Xinethor 4 times with his ability, sending volts of electricity to strike his body. This caused Xinethor to stutter and his body to twitch and spasm, but only for a brief moment. When Oliver began to get a bit of distance between him and his opponent, Xinethor quickly brought his Keyblade out in front of him once again.


Xinethor: Your thunder attack is strong. But let's see you handle Dark Thunder!


Just as Oliver got a few feet of distance between him and Xinethor, a large dark orb of electricity magically appeared from the tip of Xinethor's Keyblade. This was when Xinethor used Dark Thundaga. As he did, Xinethor fired his dark orb of electricity from his Keyblade, causing bolts of dark lightning to shoot down from the sky above them. With the bolts of lightning striking down near them, Oliver quickly tried to dodge them. But they were too quick for him to evade, as 3 bolts of dark lightning struck him directly, causing Oliver to scream in pain as dark volts of electricity began to riddle his body. And just like what happened to Xinethor, Oliver began to twitch and spasm as well. This gave Xinethor an open window to attack, as he charged towards Oliver, and swung his Keyblade, landing a direct hit on Oliver's body. This caused . But as soon as Oliver was quickly able to co-ordinate with his body again, he immediately used Air Flair. Without warning, Oliver completely disappeared from Xinethor's sight.


Xinethor: Where did he go?!


Not knowing where he was, Xinethor quickly brought his Keyblade in front of him once again, taking a blocking stance. But as he did, Oliver instantly appeared right in front of him, ready to strike. Since he was prepared for this, Xinethor successfully blocked the first strike. And taking a quick guess at where Oliver would try to hit him next, Xinethor quickly brought his Keyblade behind his back, where the second strike was blocked as well. As Oliver appeared right in front of Xinethor for a third time, Oliver was ready to attempt to strike a third time, as Xinethor was prepared to block this attempt as well. However, just as Xinethor blocked the strike, his Keyblade was pushed to the side once again. Xinethor's defense was broken through for the second time in this battle. With nothing to protect Xinethor, Oliver was successful in striking him 10 times. But before Oliver could get some distance from Xinethor, he quickly made his counterattack.


Xinethor: Enough of this!!!


Not wasting any time, Xinethor raised his Keyblade in front of him once more, just as Oliver had finished his attack and was ready to get some distance from Xinethor. But it was too late. From the tip of Xinethor's Keyblade, a large orb of Ice, that was completely shrouded in darkness began to magically form. When the ice was fully formed, Xinethor used Black Ice. As he did, Xinethor fired the dark ice directly at Oliver point blank range, encasing him in a large block of black ice. With Oliver not being able to break free from his icy prison, Xinethor charged towards him, as he swung his Keyblade back. Using the momentum he had, Xinethor struck the black ice, shattering it, as well as striking a direct hit at Oliver's body for a second time. Taking the hit, Oliver fell to the ground, as his Keyblade landed near him. Even though Xinethor was able to successfully make and land a counterattack, he was starting to feel exhausted. All of the hits that were inflicted on him by Oliver were beginning to take their toll.


Xinethor: I don't know how you keep breaking my defenses. But it's over now!


Immediately getting back up and picking his Keyblade, Oliver quickly dashed towards Xinethor.


Oliver: You still talking?!


Taking Xinethor by surprise with how quickly he got back up, Oliver used Horn Strike to get the jump on him. Before Xinethor could move anywhere, he was immediately surrounded by 6 spikes made of Light. He had nowhere to go. This left him with only one choice. As Oliver continued to run towards Xinethor, he thrusted his Keyblade forward, ready to strike. Just as Oliver did this, Xinethor quickly brought his Keyblade in front of himself yet again, having only this option left. Both of their Keyblades clashed with one another, with neither side giving in. But in the end, Oliver's attack lost all momentum, and couldn't break through Xinethor's defense.


Oliver: No!


Blocking Oliver's attack successfully, Xinethor saw his chance, as he quickly brought out his left hand, grabbing Oliver's throat and began to choke him, causing him to drop his Keyblade. But unbeknownst to Oliver, Xinethor wasn't just trying to choke the life out of him. He was draining his health as well. The more Xinethor kept a tight grip around Oliver's neck, the more his health was being restored. With all of his attention completely on Oliver, this left Xinethor completely wide open. And Oliver made sure to take full advantage of it. With his right hand still trying to grip onto Xinethor's hand on his neck, he quickly reeled his left arm back, and landed a swift hard punch to his gut. This caused Xinethor to reel back in pain, and released his grip from Oliver's neck. Now free from his grasp, Oliver did his best to step back from Xinethor, as he began to cough and hold his throat with his left hand, as his right hand picked up his Keyblade. As this was happening, Xinethor regained his composure, as he began to think to himself.


'What the hell is this guy? He isn't normal. Even as I was draining his life force away, it didn't feel like it was being drained at all. Yeah I got most of my health back. But it still felt strange.'


As Oliver had cleared his throat, he began to think to himself as well.


'God damn. What the hell was that just now? He was draining my health away! But either way, I was right since the beginning. This wasn't going to be an easy fight. Good thing I still have one trick up my sleeve left. And I better make it count!'


Using the last trick up his sleeve, Oliver started to charge towards Xinethor again. However, as Oliver was running, he began to wield his Keyblade with only his right hand, as he raised out his left hand. This was when a second Keyblade materialized out of nowhere, as Oliver used an attack known as Dual Cyclone. Xinethor saw Oliver coming towards him with two Keyblade, and readied himself to block the attack coming towards him, raising his Keyblade in front of himself once more. That was when he used Dark Thundaga again, as a large dark orb of electricity magically appeared from the tip of his Keyblade again. As he fired his dark orb of electricity from his Keyblade, it caused bolts of dark lightning to shoot down from the sky above him and Oliver. Despite the dark bolts of lightning striking the ground, Oliver was able to quickly dodge the dark bolts of lightning, and was ready to strike. Despite trying to quickly bring his Keyblade in front of him to block Oliver's attacks, it was too late. Oliver swung his Keyblades at Xinethor, with a sky blue aura trailing from the weapons, and swung his Keyblade away with the first strike. And with his way to defend gone, Oliver was able to strike him 5 times with this attack. After Oliver had struck Xinethor 5 times, he quickly jumped back, as he Finished the attack by shooting out a blast that was sky blue in colour from both of his Weapons. After the attack, Oliver landed back on the ground, as he withdrew his second Keyblade. After the dust cleared, Oliver could see Xinethor. Even though he was wounded, he was still able to continue fighting.


Xinethor: Is that all you got?!


To see Xinethor still standing, Oliver could only grunt in frustration. He was exhausted, and he had used up all of his abilities.


'This is some bullshit! He's a lot tougher than I thought! And I don't have any more moves I can use on him left.'


Trying to clear his head, Oliver began to breathe as calmly as he could, doing his best to come up with something.


'Fuck it. I only have one move left. And it's all or nothing from here!'


Taking a battle stance, Oliver readied his Keyblade. This was when he began to run towards Xinethor, ready to put everything he has on the line. But as Xinethor saw Oliver running towards him, he couldn't help but laugh manically.


Xinethor: Is that all you can do?! You got nothing left?! Then you're good as done!!!


Prepared to finish off Oliver, Xinethor began to run towards him, ready to give the finishing strike. But as Xinethor began to close the distance, he saw something he never expected. Reeling his right arm, Oliver swung his Keyblade back, and threw it towards Xinethor. Quickly countering this, Xinethor swung his Keyblade to the left, making Oliver's weapon fly out of his way, as he took a quick glance at it.


'Ha! Is that all he had left?! Just to run towards me so he could throw his Keyblade out of desperation?! How pat-'


Just as Xinethor was thinking about this, he took a look back right in front of him. But when he did, the only thing he saw at that very moment, was Oliver reeling his right arm back, as his hand made direct contact with Xinethor. He had clocked him with a direct punch to the face at full force. With the impact of the punch, this resulted in Xinethor being reeled back, as he lost his grip of his Keyblade, and was sent back 20 feet as he skid across the ground. Seeing him get taken down, Oliver took this as his defeat as he was panting from exhaustion. Making his way to his Keyblade, he picked it up. But when he did, he turned to see Xinethor was getting up as well and picked up his Keyblade. When he turned to look at Oliver, he no longer looked crazy or manic. He instead, he looked calm.


Oliver: You still want smoke? Because I can go another round.


Xinethor began to walk towards Oliver's direction. But instead of confronting him for another round to fight, he just walked past him, ready to leave. Before he took his leave, Xinethor stopped.


Xinethor: You are strong, strong like...her. Therefore, I will let you go. Leave this world while you still can. Darkness will prevail, and I would rather a powerful individual like you to not be caught in it.


Oliver: Uh huh.........whatever. Come at me again like this, I won't be holding back against you.


Despite Oliver saying this, Xinethor continued to walk forward, as if he didn't hear what Oliver just said. But in the end, the battle was over.


Oliver: The fuck was that guy's problem?


Reaching into his black coat, Oliver took out a potion, and began to drink. His Health and energy were fully restored.


Oliver: Bah. That squabble doesn't matter right now. I'm just more relieved he didn't find out about me having Invi's copy of the Book of Prophecies.


Taking out Invi's book, he began to think back to earlier today. This is where he thought back to when he was confronted by Master Invi, him trying to give back the book, Invi returning the book back to him, and then giving him a new Keyblade before leaving. After thinking about how his day was, he put the book back into his pocket, and began to making his way home once again.


Oliver: Thank you, Invi.


As Oliver continued to walk, this was the only time both he and Xinethor would encounter one another, and would never see each other again.

Here we have one of the four winners from the 800 Watchers giveaway, with a battle picture having my OC Oliver with xinshadowbringer's character Xinethor Von Garland :) . This is the very first time seeing Oliver in a battle pic like this. But it is a welcoming one :) . As for the title of this pic, I have thought about for the longest time whether to make this part an addition to my story or not. And since this does take place before the Keyblade War happens, I just thought "Why not" . And in the end, it is now the last part of Chapter 1.
