Books are a constant presence in Arya's life; her parents had a small library gathered from their own travels, chronicling the beauty of far-off lands and tales of heroism. When Arya lost her home to a dragon's flame, she and her older sister were adopted by her uncle Ebder Marcella, a wizard and professional bookbinder in the Andoran capital of Almas. Arya made her allowance putting her feline agility to work delivering newly-bound or repaired tomes for him, spending untold hours in the expansive archives of the University of Almas or the Almas Lodge for Pathfinders; even as an adult adventurer, a library of almost any sort quickly becomes her home away from home.
